Weekend Writer

I’m a weekend writer. For now. Hard to make much progress in two days. How many other weekend writers are out there? But, my health has improved greatly and I think I can cut down the exercise to 3 days/week instead of five. Then I can become a four-day a week writer, and eventually get back some time on my exercise days and return to a seven day a week writer. Maybe January. Good goal for now.

cheers,

Ty

  1. There is a wonderful book that might be helpful to you. It’s called “The Weekend Novelist”. It is designed for a writer who only writes on weekends. If you can get the original, it is better than the revised. Mine has a torn off spine and lots of page that are well-read. It taught me so much about novel writing. Even if you don’t follow the exercises, it is extremely useful.

  2. I worked full time until 2011. I was clueless about blogs. Then I became a disabled Nurse. That gave me the freedom to pursue my passion of writing, so I began in April of 2012 and had my first book published in March of 2013. AFTER publishing my book, I was introduced to the blogosphere. It can be so intimidating, I wonder if I would had ever felt my book good enough to publish had I known about blogging first. Yet, I have learned so much about writing, publishing, and marketing since that first blog post, I couldn’t imagine publishing again without what has been gleamed. I am semi-retired now and do wellness screenings part-time, so I set my own days, and don’t work too many. That gives me time to write almost every day. Joy!
