Back in mid July at the PNWA writers conference I got favorable feedback from a small local press regarding my unfinished novel/project. She invited me to send in my first three chapters when I was done with the second draft. I told her I needed a couple months. She said that was fine.
Post about that goal. I was able, after much editing, rewriting, hopelessness, elation and revisions to get those first three chapters into an acceptable, to my n00bie eyes, three chapters. I was able to send this section off to my editor and expect it back early next week. Feels weird to say “my editor”, btw.
I think I can get the editor comments back and do final revisions before sending off to the small press by the 20th. I’m also starting down the editing, etc path with the next six chapters. Interesting journey. This journey from writer to author. Is it possible?
