Joy is the theme today. As in “Joy Kills Sorrow”, an bleautiful bluegrass band from somewhere, and “Joy Wants Eternity”, Seattle based post-rockers. I suppose since rock isn’t dead they are ahead of their time. Oh, and I suppose I could listen to Joy Williams of “The Civil Wars”, maybe later.
Why is joy the theme today. Well my theme. Could be yours too. Why? Because I was able to make some progress on the novel Thursday while I was flying from Seattle into the weathered waiting game in Atlanta. I’ve torn the novel apart, digitally, erased all the chapter headings, and am back to scene to scene scoping and description. It seems less urgent, so I’m less tense, and make more progress. Make sense? It doesn’t have to.
As a matter of fact, very little of my “Joy” artists play semi-circle smile, clap your feet, happy music, which doesn’t make sense either.
This morning, I’m an hour away from heading to the airport for another trip through Atlanta, which is a great airport btw, to Charlotte. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Charlotte. Hopefully I won’t have another airport story tonight.
Happy, joyful Saturday everyone.
