Mower’s still busted

Image

The mower is still busted, broken, broked and not working. The lawn is obese, but not morbidly. I need goats, or horses, or both.

But, on a happier note, i’ve finished taking all the raw ramblings of November through late January and gotten them arranged into chapters. Can I tell you that the snapshot feature in Scrivener is awesome. It is awesome, but it also scares the crap out of me every time. Since my PC is my sound system, and it is generally at a 1970’s-ish volume, the sound of a camera shutter at that volume is…unsettling. It’s like Goliath is taking your picture with his Giant sized SLR before hewing you.

I have left out a bunch of the “important” back story and dream sequence content. I’ve kept it so I can go back and fawn over its wondergreatness. But, in the end, it will likely stay out of the book in the comfort of its digitalness. Maybe I’ll save it for my version of a “Silmarillion” type book when I write it 25 years from now. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.

And, auggh. I don’t have enough words. I think. I’m going to be close to 54k words. I think that’s not enough. Fertilizer? Perhaps if I leave my computer on for days the word count will grow? /sigh Can’t worry about it now. Why worry now when you can worry later.

Love the lawn mower picture. Makes me think of the coming summer cutting season. Good luck with the novel and don’t cut to too much.
