I am thinking that writing is like making shots of espresso for a latte. At least it seems so for me. I start with an incomplete idea, press it down, then send steam through the general ideas. The trick now is to pour the shots and not let them sit too long and get bitter. I add the steamed milk to bring out the aroma, to bring out more more. If it is a good day, I will put a heart, leaf or tree on the top of the foam.
Yesterday at Cafe Ladro was like that. Good latte. Good time writing (2,717 words). I’ll have to see how it tastes later. Right now, it is time to pull another shot.
